Follow up Co-FPC 2009


In 2009, there were 217 projects submitted from all over the world. The selected Co-FPC projects featured world-renowned directors, including Shuji Iwai (Japan), Jae-Yong Kwak (Korea), Krzysztof Zanussi (Poland). A large number of the big names in the Chinese film industry were present with their own projects, such as Yibai Zhang, Guangli Wang, Liwen Ma, Daming Chen, Baoping Cao, Yingtian Gong and so on.
Co-FPC 2009 attracted more than 300 investors, producers and distributors etc. Among 403 arranged meetings, 34 projects found the suitable co-production partners. Co-FPC is positioned as the top financing platform of the world that emerges high-quality co-production projects, universal film capital and internationalized investors to accelerate the film making of co-production movies.
 
Project results:
East Wind, Rain (Liu Yunlong, China): to be released in April 2010
Resurrection (Leste Chen, Taiwan, China): to be shot in 2010
Goodbye Ani! (Jae-Yong Kwak, Korea):achieved the full investment
Unusual Seller (Xin Fan, China): achieved the full investment
Yang Guifei (Susan Farmer, UK): achieved the full investment
Three Parkour Guys (Pan Baochang, China): Polybona Special Award, start shooting soon
The Bus (Ho-cheung Pang, Hong Kong, China): TPG 2008 nominee
The Yunnan Project --- The Case (Wang Fen, China): premiered in the Asian New Talent Award of SIFF 2007; won the Best Maiden Word Award in the 14th Beijing Student Film Festival.
The Yunnan Project --- Here’s Shangri_la (Ismene Ting, Taiwan, China): premiered in the Official Competition of 32nd Cairo International Film Festival 2008, nominated for Golden Pyramid Award.
